Hello Neighbor 2 is a horror stealth game, where the main protagonist, Quentin, is forced to sneak inside multiple buildings and solve riddles. The items required for this are usually scattered around numerous rooms and Hello Neighbor 2 players must figure out which item belongs to which riddle if they wish to solve the mystery.

Act 1 happens inside a blue house called the 910 Friendly Court where a crime scene took place in Hello Neighbor 2. At the start of the game, Theodore Peterson, aka the Neighbor, is seen kidnapping his son Aaron Peterson and locking him inside the house. This fuels Quentin to break into the Neighbor’s home to uncover all his secrets once and for all.

How To Beat Act 1 In Hello Neighbor 2

To beat Act 1 in Hello Neighbor 2, players must collect four keys to unlock the Neighbor’s basement. Each key is found after solving a puzzle inside 910 Friendly Court while hiding from Officer Nielsen, who’s guarding the house. The house can be reached by heading down the slope and then going right from the WCB4 TV, the building where players woke up. The four puzzles are:

- The Dollhouse Puzzle
- The Locked Safe Puzzle
- The Race Car Toy Puzzle
- The Picture Frame Puzzle
The Dollhouse Puzzle (1st Floor)

Upon entering from the back door, immediately look left to see a drawing on the refrigerator. It shows a Dollhouse with three dolls standing on top in a specific order; remember it for later. Here’s how to get each doll:

- The Neighbor Doll: Get out of the kitchen from the right door and turn left. Climb the closet and move the picture frame to crawl inside. The Neighbor Doll will be at the end next to a map.

- The Little Boy Doll: Jump down from the closet and turn right to a picture frame. Move it aside to reveal a three letters riddle. Write the word NOT to unlock a hidden room. Enter it and take the Little Boy Doll along with the Crowbar.
- The Little Girl Doll: Inside the kitchen, head to the upper left corner to find a red plank stuck to the wall. Use the Crowbar to remove it and obtain the Little Girl Doll from the small space.

To solve the puzzle, place the dolls in the exact same order as shown in the drawing on the fridge; from left to right, put the Little Girl, the Little Boy, then the Neighbor Dolls. The Dollhouse will open and reveal one of the four basement keys.

The Locked Safe Puzzle (1st Floor)

The locked safe is found inside the room next to the stairs. The answer to the safe lies in four numbered cubes found scattered around the house. It’s not necessary to collect them, but it is crucial to find them to know the cubes’ numbers.

From the kitchen, open the fridge to see Cube Number 4.

Get out from the right exit and head right to enter the bathroom. Open the lid of the toilet to find Cube Number 9.

The final two cubes are found inside the locked safe room; Cube Number 1 is on the side table to the left whereas Cube Number 8 is right next to the safe.
Now, interact with the safe and enter the year 1984 to open it and collect the second basement key.
The Race Car Toy Puzzle (2nd Floor)

Getting to the second floor is a bit complicated as it’s blocked by crime scene tapes. Players need Scissors to remove them. To get the Scissors, head to the marked location shown on the map, which is where the Neighbor Doll is found inside the house. Once on the second floor, head to the first door (the bedroom) on the left and follow these steps:

- Go to the desk up ahead and take the red lever from the crate on the ground.
- Turn left and put it in the slot left of the empty bookcase.
- Enter the newly revealed hidden space and look left.

- Use the Scissors to cut the spider webs and take the battery.
- Get out of the bedroom and keep going to enter the room at the end of the hallway (the kid's room).

- Head right to the table where the race car toy control is placed.
- Insert the battery and pull the lever twice to make the car bring the key.
Now, the protagonist possesses three out of four keys to unlock the basement.

The Picture Frame Puzzle (2nd Floor)

Inside the bedroom, a picture frame can be found on a small table near the bed with missing pieces. All pieces must be collected to get the final key. They can be found in the following locations:

Across the empty bookcase, cut the crime scene tapes and get a piece.

Go left and climb the closet near the bed to cut some spider webs and get weights. Then, head to the kid's room and place the weight on the blue square across the pillow tent. A closet will unlock and reveal a piece.

Next, get out of the room and use the Crowbar to open the chest and get a piece.

Enter the kid’s room at the end of the hallway and walk to the pillows to cut a stitch and collect another piece.

The final key will be inside a hidden drawer on the bookcase next to the picture frame.

Use all four keys to unlock the basement and investigate the Neighbor’s activities, only to find a newspaper about the Museum closing and its missing keys. This leads Quentin to believe the Neighbor has moved to the Museum.
